Museum Hours

10 am to 6 pm (last entry by 5 pm)
March 1 to September 30

10 am to 5 pm (last entry by 4 pm)
October 1 to the end of February

Closed on Mondays, and December 30 to January 3
*Open on Mondays for national holidays, but closed the following days.
*Open from April 29 to May 5 and July 20.
*The museum is temporarily closed for maintenance from Jun 7 to 10, 2010
and January 17 to 20, 2011.

Requests of the Chichu Art Museum
In order to maintain the quality of every visitorfs experience of artwork in a beautiful environment, please cooperate with the following
●Please do not touch artworks including walls and glasses.
●Please do not videotape, photograph or reproduce the artwork on the site.
●Please cooperate to keep the ambience calm and quiet.
Please follow the instruction of our stuff.

To guests who are planning to visit Chichu Art Museum during consecutive holidays (April to October):
In order to maintain a quality experience of artwork for visitors within the beautiful environment, we may limit the number of guests in the museum. During these cases when we limit entry, please receive a Numbered Ticket (see below) at the Chichu Art Museum Ticket Center.
*Please understand in advance that during the Golden Week (from May 1 to May 5) and during the Setouchi International Art Festival (from July 19 to October 31), Chichu Art Museum is expected to be very crowded.

Numbered Tickets:
●The Numbered Ticket is not an Admission Ticket.
●At the time indicated on your Numbered Ticket, you may purchase an Admission Ticket to enter the museum.
●You are welcome to visit other facilities on the island after receiving the Numbered Ticket.
●Numbered Tickets are only available on the date of entry to the museum. We do not issue or distribute Numbered Tickets prior to the date.

Photography:
Videotaping, photography or any form of reproducing artwork is prohibited on the site.

What to wear:
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes while you visit the museum.

For visitors with special needs including handicapped visitors.


Directions

From Tokyo via flight
About 3 hours and 30 minutes via Takamatsu Airport
-From Takamatsu Airport to Takamatsu Port, take bus or taxi for 40 minutes.
-From Takamatsu Port to Naoshima, take ferry for 1 hour.

From Tokyo via Shinkansen
About 5 hours via Okayama Station
-From Okayama Station to Uno Port, take bus, JR train or taxi for 50 minutes.
-From Uno Port to Naoshima, take ferry for 20 minutes.

In Naoshima
Take town bus to Chichu Art Museum bus stop.
